Anglian Metal Deck has sold its business to COBI Trading Ltd, owners of MLB Steel.
Anglian Metal Deck Limited (AMD) was established in 2017, by Marcel Dutil,
Chairman of Canam Group Inc, Canada. With headquarters and operations based in Sudbury, Suffolk, AMD manufactures innovative, high quality steel decking for the construction industry. As a division of Canam Steel Inc (Canadian Corp), one of the world’s leading structural steel enterprises, the company’s advanced roll-forming machinery is capable of high-speed output enabling manufacture for just in time delivery or short notice orders.
In September 2020, Chad Ward, CEO of COBI Solutions Ltd and MLB Steel Ltd acquired Anglian Metal Deck.
The acquisition complements the portfolio of MLB Steel Ltd, (formerly Metsec Lattice Beams), a rapidly growing designer and manufacturer of structural steel. Based in the West Midlands, the company has a history that spans over 75 years, during which time it has supplied most of the UK’s leading construction companies.

A new General Manager Damien Hartshorne, previously of Rapid Metal Deck, and new Sales Manager, Matt Hickman, previously of Albion Sections, have both been appointed to help strengthen the existing operational staff who will remain in place.
